Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") sets out the standards that apply when accessing or using the websites, applications, cloud services, customer portals, APIs, software, and other digital services (collectively, the "Services") provided by Contego AI, Inc. ("Contego AI", "we", "our", or "us").

Our Services are intended to support legitimate business activities in a secure, lawful, and responsible manner. By accessing or using our Services, you agree to comply with this Policy.

2. Lawful Use

You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.

  • upload or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable
  • impersonate another individual or organisation
  • misrepresent your identity or authority
  • attempt to harvest, scrape, or systematically collect data from the Services without prior written authorisation
  • use automated tools that negatively impact the performance or availability of the Services
  • engage in any activity that may compromise the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of Contego AI systems

4. Intellectual Property

Users must respect all intellectual property rights associated with the Services.

Unless expressly authorised in writing, you must not:

  • copy or reproduce software
  • modify or create derivative works
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble software except where expressly permitted by applicable law
  • remove copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
  • use Contego AI trademarks without permission

5. Security Testing

Security testing, penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, or similar activities may only be conducted with the prior written authorisation of Contego AI.

If you believe you have identified a security vulnerability, please report it in accordance with our Responsible Disclosure Policy.

6. User Accounts

Where user accounts are provided, users are responsible for:

  • maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials
  • using strong passwords
  • enabling multi-factor authentication where available
  • promptly notifying Contego AI of suspected unauthorised access
  • ensuring account information remains accurate

Users remain responsible for all activity occurring under their accounts unless caused by a security failure attributable to Contego AI.

7. Confidential Information

Users must not access, copy, disclose, distribute, or use confidential information except where authorised.

Any confidential information obtained through the Services must be protected using appropriate security measures.

8. Privacy

Users must process personal information only in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection laws.

Users must not attempt to collect or misuse personal information belonging to other users.

9. Monitoring

To protect our Services, users, and systems, Contego AI may monitor, log, and investigate activity relating to the use of our Services where permitted by applicable law.

Monitoring may be undertaken for purposes including:

  • maintaining system security
  • investigating suspected misuse
  • protecting against cyber threats
  • complying with legal obligations
  • maintaining operational integrity

10. Enforcement

Where we reasonably believe this Policy has been violated, Contego AI may, without prior notice where appropriate:

  • suspend or terminate access
  • remove content
  • investigate suspected misuse
  • report unlawful activity to relevant authorities
  • take any other action reasonably necessary to protect our Services, users, customers, or business

Nothing in this Policy limits any legal rights or remedies available to Contego AI.

11. Changes to This Policy

Contego AI may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time.

Updated versions will become effective upon publication unless otherwise stated.

Continued use of the Services after publication constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
